Unique Content Article: The London Book Show Accommodation

The London Book Show Accommodation

by Jimmy Bing

Business and leisure visitors to London have a wide choice of accommodation. This ranges from five star hotels to bed and breakfast establishments. There is however one type of accommodation which is not as well known as the others but which has many advantages, namely serviced apartments. There are a number of serviced apartments in London, many of them located very centrally.

In many ways they operate in a similar fashion to hotels, particularly in the booking process. As with hotels the internet is the best place to start looking for apartments in London. Once a suitable property has been located then you can book online as with hotels. Unlike hotels the costs are surprisingly low, on average 30% lower. With everyone looking to save costs where they can this is a substantial advantage.

A forthcoming trade fair, where delegates and exhibitors would find an apartment useful is the London Book Show. This has been running for over 40 years and is an established meeting place for all those involved in negotiating rights, sales and distribution of all types of media from print to digital.

Many of the organisations exhibiting or attending the event will be sending more than one member of staff. In addition to the cost of attending the show this can also mean large hotel bills and hefty expense claims for eating out and entertainment. By booking and arranging a city based apartment in the Earls Court area, they can save a substantial sum on hotel rooms.

Apartments are designed to be a home from home; so in addition to bedrooms they also have a sitting room, bathroom, kitchen and eating area. This makes it a much more comfortable and relaxing base than a hotel, particularly if you are in town for a number of days. Apartments in London can be chosen according to the number of people they sleep. Therefore if you have a number of staff attending they can all stay in the one apartment.

Having all your staff under one roof, which has a communal living and eating area has another advantage. After a day at a show there is a great deal to discuss whether you are visiting or exhibiting. If you rent a city based apartment for the duration of the London Book Fair then your staff can have their discussions and do any necessary work in comfortable, relaxed and communal surroundings.

Apartments are a very flexible option. You can book for any length of time and for a changing cast of people. As they come with a kitchen, meals can be prepared at any time required rather than being bound by set meal times at a hotel. Not having to eat out all the time, also helps save on costs.

Apartments are one of the great secrets of London accommodation but definitely one which should be explored by more business and leisure travellers for the great benefits they offer.
